Rohit Sharma was MI’s second highest run-getter in IPL 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Mumbai Indians had an impressive IPL 2025 season. After having begun the tournament with four defeats from their first five matches, they turned things around to get on a six-match winning streak and also make it to the playoffs, finishing fourth after the league stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MI beat\u00a0Gujarat Titans\u00a0(GT) in the Eliminator and progressed further. However, they lost the second qualifier against Punjab Kings (PBKS), which drew curtains on their campaign. Nonetheless, making it to the virtual semi-finals showcases that they performed well despite not going the distance.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rohit Sharma, among the senior and experienced players, carried out a key role for them with the bat. He did not start the season well just as the team, but picked up later on, contributing to their turnaround.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He eventually ended as their second highest run-getter behind Suryakumar Yadav, who smashed 717 runs this season. Rohit notched up 418 runs from 15 matches at an average of 29.85 and a strike-rate of 149.28, including four half-centuries. His top-score of 81 this season came in the Eliminator against GT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a second consecutive season where the star batter made over 400 runs. He had scored 417 runs from 14 matches in the 2024 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
