They\u2019ve won 58.8% of their games at Wankhede Stadium, which is the highest among all teams. Only CSK (57.8%) and GT (55.5%) also have more wins than losses at home during this period. While many teams are still trying to understand how their home pitches work, IPL 2025 MI already seem to have figured it out. In the 2023-24 season, their success at home came mainly from strong batting. About 64% of their deliveries were in those two zones. When they did bowl on a good length, they often used slower balls. Trent Boult focused on full deliveries, while Jasprit Bumrah mixed slower balls with yorkers. Hardik Pandya bowled short balls until his final over, where he missed his yorkers and conceded 22 runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the match, Hardik explained their strategy: \u201cIn the first few overs, we noticed some deliveries were sticking on the pitch, so we realized that slower balls could work well. The pitch grip early in the game, along with MI\u2019s variation in lengths, made SRH\u2019s batters struggle with timing. Three of their top four batters had a strike rate below 100, and Klaasen only managed to strike above 100 after facing 24 balls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, IPL 2025 SRH batters scored just 20 runs from the first 15 full tosses they received, showing how much they struggled with timing throughout the innings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In contrast to MI\u2019s 64% of balls bowled full or short, SRH seamers only managed 42% in those areas. Their slower balls didn\u2019t work as well either, giving away 60 runs from 33 balls, though they took 3 wickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This loss was SRH\u2019s seventh defeat in their last eight away games, putting their season in serious danger.
