I am still in shock – Snehashish Ganguly’s wife Arpita

According to NDTV report, Snehashish Ganguly’s wife Arpita said,

“By the grace of God we survived. I am still in shock. This should not happen and water sports activities in the sea should be arranged properly. I will write a letter to the Police Commissioner of Puri and the Chief Minister of Odisha after returning to Kolkata. The speedboat collided with a wave as high as ten floors due to which the speedboat overturned and all the passengers including my husband fell into the sea. Thankfully, our lives were saved due to the immediate action by the lifeguards.”

Snehashish Ganguly’s wife Arpita alleged that the accident happened due to the greed of adventure sports operators. She told that only four passengers were on the speedboat made for 10 passengers, due to which the speedboat became unstable and could not withstand the waves.

Meanwhile, Snehasish, who is currently the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), described the incident as fatal and told Cricbuzz, “It was a fatal accident. The boat capsized and we were rescued by locals and fishermen. I thank Lord Jagannath. It is like a second life for us.”
