Mohammad Nabi may not Retire After Champions Trophy: Afghanistan’s all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has given up his intention to retire from ODIs after the Champions Trophy. Nabi had earlier announced that he would not play ODI cricket after the Champions Trophy.

However, now he has changed his mind. Nabi wants to play for Afghanistan with his son and that is why he has given up his intention to retire from ODIs. Nabi said that everything depends on his fitness and whether he will retire or not.
I May Not Retire From ODIs Right Now – Mohammad Nabi
In November last year, Mohammad Nabi had said that he would quit ODI cricket after the Champions Trophy, but now he says that he is still thinking about his future. He gave this reaction during a conversation with the ICC. Nabi said,

This may not be the last ODI match for me right now. I will probably play very few ODIs and give young players a chance to gain experience. I have discussed this with senior players. Maybe I can play in big matches. Everything depends on my fitness.

Mohammad Nabi’s son is also 18 years old, whose name is Eesakhil. Eesakhil has played for Afghanistan in the Under-19 World Cup. Nabi hopes that he and his son can play together for Afghanistan. He said about this,

It is my dream to play with my son. Hopefully, we can do this. He is performing very well. He is working very hard and I also keep encouraging him for this. I want him to set goals for himself. If you want to become a big cricketer, then you have to work hard for it. Just scoring 50-60 runs will not do anything, you have to score a century. He listens to me all the time. I give him that confidence.
