On Sunday, February 16, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the full schedule for IPL 2025. The highly anticipated season will commence on March 22, with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Kolkata.
RR had an impressive IPL 2024 campaign, finishing third in the league stage with 17 points from eight wins in 14 matches. However, their journey ended in Qualifier 2, where they were eliminated by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
The franchise will play its seven home games across two venues—two matches at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati and five at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Throughout the season, RR will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Gujarat Titans (GT), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) twice. Meanwhile, they will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Mumbai Indians (MI), and Delhi Capitals (DC) once.
Notably, RR will play SRH and DC only in away fixtures.
