Complete List of Day/Night Test Matches Played by India 2019-2024

The ICC introduced the Day/Night Test format in 2015 to boost viewership in Test cricket by scheduling the third session during prime time, around 7 PM local time.

This format uses a pink ball, as other colors like red, orange, and yellow proved difficult to spot under floodlights. The BCCI initially took time to evaluate the Day/Night Test concept before organizing India’s first pink-ball Test in 2019. Since then, the Indian cricket team has maintained a balanced record in this format.
