“Just like India did not come to Pakistan to play their matches during the Champions Trophy and they were allowed to play all their matches in Dubai at a neutral venue under the hybrid model, we will do the same. When there is an agreement, it should be respected.” When will the Women’s World Cup be held
The Women’s World Cup will be held in India from 29 September to 26 October 2025. Eight teams will participate in the tournament. West Indies could not qualify for the World Cup. Pakistan performed best in the World Cup qualifiers held in Lahore from 9 April and secured the top position. Pakistan has announced a special reward for the women’s team.

The Pakistan women’s team performed brilliantly by defeating Ireland, Scotland, West Indies, Thailand and Bangladesh and the team remained undefeated in the tournament. Pakistan’s women’s team won all its five matches. Bangladesh has also qualified for the World Cup.

Naqvi said that India is the official host of the Women’s World Cup. It will be India’s responsibility to select the neutral venue. Earlier this year, before the Champions Trophy, India, Pakistan and the International Cricket Council (ICC) had agreed to organize the major tournaments to be held in India and Pakistan till 2028 under a hybrid hosting model.

In fact, India refused to go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy in February, due to which all India’s matches were held in Dubai after long negotiations. The Men’s T20 World Cup in 2026 will also be held under the hybrid model, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
